Umm.

Everyone has been crazy excited over the past few weeks because of the highly anticipated debut of Kanye's Air Yeezy's. I've been crazy busy with schoolwork and the whole nine but I saw some pictures and I'm not so sure what all the hype is about. I definitely don't think the sneaker itself is all that -- ok, the first colorway is decent but so what?!?!--- with these being priced at $215.00 [then add the various state taxes] these are so not worth it to me.

That $215.00 could buy so much more.
Ex: Groceries, 1/8 or 1/32 of a Louis Vuitton handbag [depending on which style you want, lol] , 1/2 of some Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, pants from Dior Homme, an MJ purse, 2 pairs of RayBans, or even a car note.
But nope, let's just give Kanye our money because we "oh so fascinated with his fashion sense". Listen, I appreciate Kanye Omari West just like any of you --- but let's be real, he is definitely not paying your bills and it's baffling my mind to see hoards of people willing give up their money for those "not popping" sneakers and help him pay his!

I think I'm the only person on Earth who feels this way, but hey -- if you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything!

Kanye and Marc Jacobs holding Kanye's LV sneaker. The sneaker is also available in 3 other colorways [ white, beige(nude) and black]. They're nothing spectacular in my eyes... but whatever, Kanye is hella hype.

Sidenote: Seriously Marc? With that man skirt?
AND bright ass LV Sprouse leggings?
Stop the madness!

Cool Feet

When you first look at Nancy Wu's Nike remix project you would think... "wtf!"
But then you look again...

turn away and look some more...
Then you realize that it's a cute concept.
I could def see a few people rocking this sneandal [sneaker/sandal] and making heads turn. Nike could make some good money off of this one.

Any thoughts?

Rocckin Crocckins

I hate Crocs.
I don't care how comfortable they are, I really and truly cannot stand them. I mean I know everyone needs a pair of comfortable shoes, but why can't they be stylish?
A HA! They can!
Check out these styles from "You by Crocs", I couldn't even believe that these shoes were made by the same people who made those hideous things that people were wearing all year!

I even see a few pieces that I would wear! Check out some other styles here

Oh Hell NO!

Everyone loves Marc Jacobs.
His designs are hip and fresh and with his personal new look, he's become eye-candy as well.

But this:

...is ridiculous!

So, I write:

Dear Mr. Jacobs,

As a dedicated customer and a woman who is in love with everything you make, I have recently come upon an item in your Spring 2009 that has made me uber concerned with your label. I'm going to write it off as a mistake by the media... who told everyone that this was your shoe. I'm not quite sure if you can sue for defaming your brand, because the Good Lord knoooowwwsss that this had to be a mistake. But don't worry, I have rallied all my girls and we forgive you. We forgive you, the designers who work under you, the merchandisers who are attempting to sell this shit, the buyers of department stores who are stocking it on shelves and the little workers in the sweatshops who did not say "NO" when forced to make this atrocious shoe. We forgive you all. Just don't let it happen again.

For the Goliaths

I saw these on highsnobette, and they totally reminded me of these thigh- high Christian Louboutin boots that I saw in the summer. However these thigh- high knit boots are by the House of Nassat.
This is a picture of the Christian Louboutin boots, named"Dolly Forever". Dolly is a suede, thigh high boot with a hidden platform and fringe detail.
Her baby is named "For Ever Tina"

These boots are clearly for the giants of the world!

Well, Marc Jacobs has teamed up with legendary street artist KAWS to make 150 pairs of super exclusive flats.

They will be available in limited places worldwide starting Sept. 29.

Elizabeth & James + Steve Madden

I love Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen!

I am already obsessed with their Elizabeth & James clothing line and now a little birdy told me that they are collaborating with Steve Madden to start a Elizabeth & James shoe line--- which should be out by Spring 2009! I'm excited and I'm definitely going to mark my calendar!

These girls have an amazing shoe game so I can't wait to see the offerings!

Dorothy Gale Was A Fly Chick

Believe what you want, but it is true. Which is why an assortment of designers went to work on redesigning those red slippers the witch wanted so badly. Yes, she recognized fashion & wanted some for herself. In commemoration of 70 years (next year) of the Wizard Of Oz, they have been asked to produce their take on those ruby red shoes.

Nineteen designers including big names like Diane von Furstenberg, Christian Louboutin, and Manolo Blahnik have designed shoes that will be shown everywhere from Byrant Park to Saks in order to raise money for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. It is an amazing thing.

Two pairs of the same shoe will be created by each designer so one of them can be auctioned off. Pictures have recently surfaced on the web of some of the final designs. Imagine the money that is going to be thrown around for these. . .

1st - Betsey Johnson
2nd - Botkier
3rd - DVF
4th - Jimmy Choo
5th - L.A.M.B
Last - Tuleh.

Before They Knew!

I posted a few pictures of some shoes by my new fave shoe designer named Nicholas Kirkwood a while ago. As I was posting I told my friend that he is the new Louboutin. After checking style.com today I am happy to say "I been knew that!" They mentioned Kirkwood and compared him to Christian Louboutin... may the battle begin! Kirkwood gets my vote; now all I have to do is own a pair!

Shoes are an Art!

I love shoes! Particularly heels and to me the higher the better.
I enjoy tipping in some outrageous 6 inch heels and having everyone's eyes on my feet.
As I was expressing my love for shoes to my boyfriend he stated exactly what I felt. " Female shoes are an art."
He is absolutely correct. Now check out these artistic shoes that make me want to scream!
Designed by English shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood, I will be working on trying to get myself a pair ASAP.

loving the purple pair =)
def thinking he may give Louboutin a run for his money!

Don't Fin-ish last!

And you won't when you are rocking these cool suede loafers. I personally love when guys wear loafers, there is no need for your footwear to only contain timbs, sneakers and adidas slippers!

Alexandra Finlay set up Fin’s to capture a market for menswear that lies between the High Street and Bond Street. (source: finsforhim.com)

"The George men’s suede summer loafer is the first Fin’s creation in what I hope will be a fantastic range of classic, stylish, fuss-free, affordable, and, most importantly, fun men’s products."

The George men's suede loafer is available in tons of different colors. All males should own a pair of loafers! Click the title of the post to view the website.
