Then you have definitely go to be prepared for the backlash! Some racist asshole decided to wear this shirt and ended up getting jumped by four black girls!!!! hahahahaha

She couldn't have thought she would be safe walking the street with that on could she?

The woman ran away from them and called the “Apollo Braun” store where she had purchased her t-shirt to complain about the attack and demanded a refund for the t-shirt, which cost her $69[ personally, I wouldn't buy a shirt for $69 that clearly looks like it took 5 minutes and a couple cents to make.. don't front, u know it looks cheap!]. The owner stated that he doesn’t give refunds because it is against his store policy and that no one forced her to buy the shirt.

Yes, the shirt is offensive and clearly racist but only an idiot would think to wear it without the thought that they wouldn’t get beat down while walking around NYC.

Does this article make you angry? Are you shocked by the racism and foolishness that is occurring in NYC by people who aren't wearing a navy uniform?

Model TV?

Is everything going to end up on TV? Well, I guess I'm just here to spread the news. The WSJ reports that Vogue has teamed up with IMG to create web reality tv. The show, Model.Live, is a mini-series with twelve episodes that each last for eight minutes. They will follow three models on their fashion week kick in NY, London, Milan and Paris. Through casting calls, runway, and everything in-between. Express is the lead sponsor in the whole endeavor. They are really taking a risk because: a) they don't know if people will watch & b) they don't know if views = sales. Hopefully Express doesn't go up in flames; they make cute blazers. The first episode premieres August 19th & you can catch it at Vogue TV. If you can't wait catch the sneak preview below.

Screaming Captives: A Kid Named Cudi

He is an amazing artist with talent that people can only hope for in their lifetime. Kid Cudi hails from Cleveland, Ohio but has lived in Brooklyn for a few years now. His music can't really be described [at least by me] but if I had to, I would say a mix of hip-hop & some form of rock. What I love most about him is his storytelling ability. I feel a Slick Rick flashback mixed with modern age music. He tells stories about himself, life, & anything else that someone, somewhere can relate to. Fresh & upcoming he is.



He released his mixtape collaboration with 10.Deep, A Kid Named Cudi, today. The release party is tonight at the Red Bull Space, 40 Thompson St (at Watts). It's from 8-11 and there is an open bar feauturing vodka! Kid Cudi will be performing in the flesh with a DJ set from 88 Keys & others. Go out and support. Especially when they are giving out the gift bags! LOL

He's worked with names such as Trey Songz & Lil' Wayne, but you shouldn't be all excited by that. Soon [and already] his name by itself will have you thinking "how did he get Drake to ride that beat?" He's an October baby [one day before MY birthday] & a Scorpio. My friend sent this to me while looking through shopping sites, and when I saw it was a D&G bag, happiness came. And then I was like huh? I mean people are carrying a lot of extra junk these days [due to larger bags], but is this needed. There is a thin line between function & fashion, but [to me] this doesn't come close to either. First of all, I would be looking for my ringing cellphone FOREVER in all those zip pockets. Second, whatever I'm wearing better not be "biker chic." Anyone who even attempts this will be photographed by me in the street. My camera is now a weapon.

Godzilla Skates?

Nokia is putting on a skating events in the UK, promoting family time, music, active kids and all that. They set up temporary rinks in London, Manchester, and Birmingham. The skate events also include some form of music whether upcoming DJs or live bands. Now since I’m not in the UK, this didn’t really matter to me. What I really liked were the ads that featured model Alice Dellal, in roller-skates designed by Preen. Her spiked skates are not MY style but Preen created four other designs. One of them might be your type. Too bad you can only buy it from the Preen store in London [good luck there]. If not, just be content with the great photography. Is she not reminiscent of King Kong or Godzilla? I love it! A giant among women.

His collection is only sold overseas as of now but there's nothing wrong with being informed about international designers, just imagine how much more you'll know about him when he finally makes his stateside debut!

So since the weekend was here & all, I didn't post everything I should have. Most important is the fact that Jourdan Dunn & Karlie Kloss will be the main models of the Topshop fall campaign. Both of these models are going places, which goes with the Topshop theme. The shots were taken on London buses & trains [so clean!] to go with Topshop's on the move theme. And since they're moving [actually building a new store] into Soho, set to open in my birthday month [October] I'm happy. Can't wait to see all the photos.

LMAO. So Yung Berg aka "Yungin" has decided that he messed up big time. So he threw out this sad looking apology video. First of all, if he is as rich as he claims to be, why is he taping in that dump? Second, he said comments taken out of context. How could what he said have been twisted. He never denied saying it so those must have been his exaxt words. And then he had the nerve to talk about "my mother, she's a lovely dark skinned lady." And you made those comments? As a dark skinned female, I want to let him know that he HAD/HAS zero fans. Please, stop trying to fix it. Stop making music. Just diappear. Like poof. I saw a few scans of Toccara Jones’ Vogue shoot for the Vogue Italia all black-edition a while ago and wasn’t blown away. It could be that I feel she pushes the image of the “ghetto black girl” to whole new levels. . .yes, that’s it. But after seeing more scans & listening to opinions, I can’t deny that Steven Meisel did his thing. If I wore fur [& wasn’t afraid of PETA] Champagne Furs would be my choice. I do wish they gave her more clothes . . . but maybe that’s just me.
