Hey people!!! For those of you who are still in NYC (unfortunately I'm not), I've compiled a list of stores and boutiques where you can get some great unique clothes and shoes. I'm going to do a list for all of us Buffalo people as well because shopping at the Walden-Galleria Mall is NOT CUTTING IT!!! The main reason why I compiled this list is because it's no fun going somewhere and seeing somebody wearing the same thing that you are. However, that's never happened to me =].
In my wardrobe I stick with brands such as Gentle Fawn, SoundGirl, 80%20, Seychelles, and so on (can't tell you all my secrets), I might even throw in a little bit of Guess,Abercrombie and Roxy or whatever I see that looks cute.
These stores will defintely make you stand out and look like the fabulous fashion- forward creature that you are! Have fun!
Uniqlo-- in my opinion they are similar to H&M, but we know that EVERYONE in the city shops at H&M. However at Uniqlo, a 22-year-old Japanese chain, you can get that infamous Japanese style without the heavy ass prices to go with it. In fact, jeans, a sweater, and jacket might NOT even set you back 200 bucks at Uniqlo. Check them out:546 Broadway New York, NY 10012 http://www.uniqlo.com/
Training Camp-- this store is awesome because the sneakers are cheap. At first I wanted to know what was wrong with the shoes but the owner is the designer so he doesn't have to do the whole buying from another company and blah blah blah that goes into the other stores that don't sell their own brands. Not only do they have a location in SoHo but they are also in Brooklyn. I've never been to the one in SoHo... not really trying to go out my way when I can go down the block, but they sell brands like Evisu, Penguin, ALIFE, Y-3's, Supras, DC's, Reeboks as well as Nikes and etc. THIS STORE IS AWWWWESSSSSOOOOMMMEEEE!!! The SoHo location is :1079 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 212-921-4430 and the Brooklyn location is:1498 Rockaway Parkway (down the block from the L train) http://www.trainingcampstores.com/ .
Alife Rivington Club-- Alife's are POPPING, if you're not on it then get on QUICKLY!!! They also sell other brands at this store as well. Give them a look see:158 Rivington StreetNew York, NY 212-375-8128www.alifenyc.com
The PaperDoll Boutique-- this store is the cutest thing ever and it's owned by a 19-year old girl. My friend put me on to this store after seeing a fashion show held there. Ladies, you will love it!!! I'll definitely try to get an interview from the owner in the near future! 104 Bond Street Brooklyn, NY 718-237-2236
