Black fashion... Where Art Thou?

I don't know how many of you ladies read VIBE Vixen but I absolutely looooved that magazine. It was everything all in one for the young black female who is on her grind and wants to be sexy as well as intelligent. The magazine branched off of VIBE and was doing well.. in my opinion.. but then it folded all of a sudden. =(

They had beautiful makeup spreads
Some of you probably even remember Suede magazine which was under Essence. Suede was bright, eclectic and had beautiful black models in all of the photo spreads. The spreads were unique and the articles were interesting. They were definitely a fashion forward magazine and featured styles and people, years before mainstream was talking about it. They had an article about Obama before he was a presidential candidate and featured ankle boots before everyone and their mother was rocking them! Then all of a sudden it folded!

"She a delta so she been throwing that Dynasty sign" - kanye west: through the wire

No one could tell me that these ideas weren't fresh and innovative!

Is this the trend for magazines that are attempting to reach out to the fashion forward young African American female?
Will any magazine be successful?
hmmm... i might have to work on changing that!
