I'm surpised some people still don't know about Kidz in the Hall! They are rap duo made up of Naledge (Jabari Evans) and Double O (Michael Aguilar). Naledge drops the knowledge [LMAO. i'm sorry, i had to!] & Double O makes the beats. And it seems to be working for them. Their song "The Blackout" off their second album The In Crowd has been chosen to be on the soundtrack of the videogame Madden 2009. If you think about how many people will be playing that game. . .let's just say it's big time.
They formed basically by chance. They met at their college, the University of Pennsylvania. Naledge rhymed at a talent show and the impressed audience forced him to meet with Double O. And the rest is history. They push each other to excel which leaves us with a bunch of funky beats and lyrics that tell stories.
They are reminiscent of Gang Starr but with a twist that lets you know they’re in touch with the here & now. Can’t wait to see what they bring next. Yet somehow I’m most excited about all the weird stuff they’ll be wearing to the award shows. . .lol Left you with the video for the 1st single off The In Crowd, "Drivin' Down The Block."
P.S. - Tyga & Wale will also be on the soundtrack. I might buy Madden for the first time in my life!
