He is an amazing artist with talent that people can only hope for in their lifetime. Kid Cudi hails from Cleveland, Ohio but has lived in Brooklyn for a few years now. His music can't really be described [at least by me] but if I had to, I would say a mix of hip-hop & some form of rock. What I love most about him is his storytelling ability. I feel a Slick Rick flashback mixed with modern age music. He tells stories about himself, life, & anything else that someone, somewhere can relate to. Fresh & upcoming he is.
He released his mixtape collaboration with 10.Deep, A Kid Named Cudi, today. The release party is tonight at the Red Bull Space, 40 Thompson St (at Watts). It's from 8-11 and there is an open bar feauturing vodka! Kid Cudi will be performing in the flesh with a DJ set from 88 Keys & others. Go out and support. Especially when they are giving out the gift bags! LOL
